What To Expect At SDCC: October Toys Edition

So i was just sitting at home, thinking about how I have too many toys. Oh wait, that's never going to happen because toys ROCK! Especially toys from SDCC. Check out what October Toys has to say about their exclusives and what you should be picking up in just a few days.

What attendees will find at your booth typically? Do you have any SDCC Exclusive items?

Toys! Specifically mini figures, reminiscent of the 1980's M.U.S.C.L.E. line and Monster In My Pocket. Our OMFG (Outlandish Mini Figure Guys) is a community created line of mini figures with five great new figure per series. Our official SDCC exclusive items this year include sets of SDCC Blue OMFG Series 2, SDCC Yellow OMFG Series 2, and a set of SDCC Yellow and Blue Baby Deadbeets! You can find more info/pics on our exclusives at http://octobertoys.com/sdcc-2013-exclusives-at-booth-4951/

Can you provide a general idea of price range for our readers?

Our exclusives this year range from only $4 to $10, so there is a little something for everyone!

How many years you've attended, other conventions you attend?

This is our eighth year exhibiting at San Diego Comic Con as October Toys and we attend many other conventions for both fun and business. One of our favorites is another Southern California toy convention called Designer Con that takes place in November in Pasadena, CA.

What are some past highlights you may have for attending San Diego, or tips you can offer?

Some of our favorite tips for attending SDCC include 1) take time to plan your trip (i.e. what exclusives you want to get, which panels you want to attend, where your favorite booths will be, etc.), 2) don't miss the exhibits and events outside of the hall in downtown San Diego, and 3) wear comfy shoes!

Any other highlights of this years SDCC for October Toys?

Aside from making toys, we also spend a great deal of time talking about toys on our weekly Toy Break videos. We are super excited to that we will have our first SDCC panel this year called Toy Break Presents Indie Toy Secrets with panelists George Gaspar (October Toys), Scott Tolleson (Stolle Art), H. Eric ‘Cornboy’ Mayse (The Four Horsemen), and Jay Garcia (MANA Studios). Join us Thursday July 18th from 8-9pm in room 32AB for all the fun! More info can be found at http://octobertoys.com/toy-break-panel-sdcc-2013/

There it is folks. Stop by Booth 4951 and pick up some sweet desk best friends which we think are a sweet deal. Best of all, you don't have to clear a huge spot in your suitcase for these guys either. Don't forget the panel is Thursday July 18th 8-9pm 32AB.
