Hold On To Your Brains - Jack and The Zombie Attack are coming to SDCC 15 - Small Press Pavilion Q13
We know the excitement for 2015 San Diego Comic Con was building before 2014 was even over. So let's get the 2015 coverage started with the creators of "Jack and the Zombie Attack", Chris and Amy Hernandez. This year they are bringing something special to SDCC and supporting the anti-bullying movement. We think you'll like Jack and all he has to offer including a SDCC exclusive!

What is the best convention moment you have had?
Our best convention moment ever is meeting our fans. Mostly, getting our book to children who love it and read it continually. It is very humbling have fans post pictures of themselves reading our books and enjoying them.
What is your favorite autograph or collectible you’ve picked up at a convention?
Meeting Tony Moore, creator of The Walking Dead and Kevin Eastman, creator of The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles was the best. We had the opportunity to exchange our autographed book with theirs.
Where do you find inspiration for your work?
We find inspiration watching classic films and reading books that use traditional mediums, such as watercolor and ink.
What is one thing you would like to pursue if you had additional free time?
We would like to make a stop motion movie of “Jack and the Zombie Attack”. With the production of our second book, “Jack and the Pirate Attack” it simply is not possible right now, but this doesn’t mean it won’t be done.
What current work are you most excited about?
“Jack and the Pirate Attack” will be released at SDCC 2015. This is the sequel to our first book “Jack and the Zombie Attack”. This is a book that discusses the idea of bullying in a creative imaginative way. This is not just a book, it's an Anti-Bullying campaign! What better way to learn about the effects of bullying, than from the most notorious bullies in history…Pirates!
We will be doing a Kickstarter campaign starting mid-March to help us self-publish the book. We will also have a Comic Con Exclusive “Jack and the Pirate Attack” print available for purchase at this year’s SDCC.
